Lady in Yellow Image Earrings by Beverly Price
Art jewelry from the studio of Beverley Price puts a modern twist on something from the past – she calls it “nostalgic pop-art.” This image is taken from the cover of Drum magazine, the showcase for South African black culture in the 1950’s. For the first time in the country’s history, Black women graced the covers of a widely distributed publication for their glamour… and they will look glamorous on you, too!
The earring loops are silver plate. The images are set in special thick foil, which is decorated with delicate impressions. For such eyepopping pieces, they are remarkably lightweight… almost like wearing nothing at all.
